Ideas we welcome

Pitch reported explainers, thoughtful comparisons, cultural histories, listening pieces, and practical ways into a subject. We are interested in how music intersects with city spaces, local scenes, making, and memory, without treating any one example as the whole story.

What makes a pitch work

Describe the central question, the angle that makes it distinct, and what a reader will understand or notice afterward. Mention the form you have in mind and any relevant experience or access, without overstating it. Keep the proposal focused enough to show what the piece will leave out.
